http://www.worldseafishing.com/forums/showthread.php/1383159-Brighton-Marina-Bass-Competition-Monies-Raised

We have done a quick tally up of the monies raised so far and we have raised just over £1100.00 for the RNLI

continued....

For those that did attend and support us and for all of the sponsors that gave us some great gifts to put in as prizes, a big big thank you from ourselves and the RNLI, once all of the money has been raised we will arrange a large cheque and try and get the Argus newspaper for a photo session, so if anyone would like to be part of that please let me know.

The winners were as follows:-

1st Place & Biggest Bass was to Colin Mckay with a 2lb 12oz Bass winning the Zziplex Bass Rod

No other Bass were caught so we had to go to the largest fish scenario which neither of us anticipated looking at the sea and with the conditions running up to Saturday.

2nd Place was to Simon Wells with a 3lb 7oz Codling Winning the Bassboots custom made waders

3rd Place was to Rob Channon with a 2lb 8oz Rockling winning a Flattie rod

Keith (Warden Marina) won the Century rod via the auction held at the prize giving today.

Being our 1st competition we learnt a lot and made mistakes along the way, we will hopefully be making this an annual event as long as there is a demand and support for the Charity, it was great to see a lot of faces to the names we only hear about hidden behind our Forum ID's.

Many Thanks
Andrew & Craig
